The Primary Immune Deficiency Awareness Bracelet come in a sealed clear plastic bag with a 2" - 2" card that reads the following.

Primary Immune Deficiency diseases are disorders in which part of the body's immune system is missing or does not function properly. PID's are caused by genetic or intrinsic defects in the immune system, there are nearly 100 Primary Immune Deficiency diseases. Some of the PID's are quite common, occurring as often as 1/400 individuals while others can be as rare as one in a million.

Many individuals affected by PID's require life long therapy including IVIG Infusions, antibiotics, or bone marrow transplants. Untreated PID's may be characterized by frequent life-threatening or chronic infections and debilitating illnesses. With advances in medicine and our increasing knowledge patients who in the past may not have survived childhood are now capable of living nearly normal lives.
